Costing Project hosts training sessions

The Costing Project team has been hosting a series of training sessions across the province focused on:

  • Raising awareness of the impact of data quality on the quality of care;
  • Ensuring there is accurate and reliable reporting and interpreting of Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) data by building on eLearning modules; and
  • Supporting agency staff to develop and apply their own data quality best-practices.

Sessions have taken place in the Central West, Mississauga-Halton, Central, Central East, North Simcoe Muskoka, Champlain, Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant, Waterloo Wellington, Erie St. Clair and South West LHINs. Stay tuned for training sessions coming to your LHIN!

In the meantime, eLearning modules on financial and statistical reporting to the OHRS are now available on this web page (scroll down to the December 8 posting below).

The next steps for the Costing project also include focusing on sustainability through a Network of Data Champions, and the development and standardization of cost-based indicators.
