Funding opportunity: MHRC's multi-province COVID-19 initiative

Mental Health Research Canada (MHRC) is pleased to join forces again with the Ontario Centre of Excellence for Child & Youth Mental Health and offer three new Child and Youth Mental Health Impact Grants valued up to $100,000 each.

They’re looking to fund innovative projects that advance evidence-based solutions to mitigate the mental health impacts of COVID-19 on children and young people in Ontario, with a focus on families from vulnerable groups who experience challenges in accessing and receiving high-quality mental health care.

Childhood and adolescence are critical development periods. Not having access to supports when they are needed can negatively impact the future success of children and youth in their education, personal relationships and career choices.

If you are an innovator or researcher who thinks “out of the box,” they invite you to carefully read the Stage One’s Call for Proposals – which is a Letter of Intent – for eligibility and grant requirements. They have also attached Stage Two’s Call for Proposals for your information; however, only a group of semi-finalists will be invited to submit to this stage.

Priority will be given to proposals that have the potential for scaling within and beyond the province of Ontario.
