Online course: Reducing stigma and promoting recovery for opioid use

Reducing Stigma and Promoting Recovery for Opioid Use is a new free, self-directed, online training for healthcare providers that provides an overview of the opioid crisis, opioid use risk factors and related harms, harm reduction strategies, recovery-oriented practice, as well as promising treatment strategies for people with opioid use disorders. The training is self-paced and can be stopped or started at any time, allowing healthcare providers to complete the course at their own pace. The training uses interactive activities, resources, and personal stories to equip healthcare providers with tools and approaches to reduce stigma toward opioid use and reinforce recovery-oriented care. 

This training was developed by the Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) at CAMH with support from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
