The Ontario Common Assessment of Needs (OCAN) community of interest held a knowledge exchange event to capture effective ways to use the OCAN for quality improvement and enhancing client recovery.

The event brought together people from a range of settings, including agencies, hospitals, Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs), and government to:

  • Learn how OCAN improves client recovery
  • Identify effective practices for completing OCAN assessments and reassessments
  • Learn innovative training and quality assurance approaches to improve the quality of OCAN information
  • Provide feedback on proposed changes to the next version of OCAN
