This specialized course examines the relationship between tobacco use and cancer, the impact of tobacco cessation on cancer treatment and prognosis, and highlights best practices and strategies to integrate tobacco cessation counselling into cancer care across all stages of disease pathway management (e.g. prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up).
This course is intended to assist interprofessional healthcare providers implement tobacco cessation interventions with patients who have been diagnosed with cancer.
