Using the Ontario Common Assessment of Need to inform quality improvement in community mental health and addictions programs: Early Psychosis Intervention

The Provincial System Support Program at CAMH, and the Early Psychosis Intervention Ontario Network (EPION) has released a report, which outlines the findings of an assessment on the value of the Ontario Common Assessment of Need (OCAN) tool in informing system monitoring and improvement work, focusing on early psychosis intervention (EPI) services.

Specifically, the report:

  • examines how OCAN data can inform understanding of EPI program delivery in relation to provincial EPI program standards. 
  • assesses the quality of OCAN data uploaded to the central repository by EPI programs.
