Canadian Youth Perceptions on Cannabis is a 2017 report that examines common misconceptions about cannabis that young people have, where gaps in evidence-based information exist and how best to prevent harms related to cannabis use in this age group. This report was developed by the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction to provide parents, teachers and youth with accurate information on the effects of cannabis use. It will also help policymakers, prevention specialists and researchers develop evidence-informed prevention efforts for young people. This report builds on previous research completed by the CCSA that examined perceptions of cannabis among young people in Canada.
