Enhancing early intervention services for at-risk youth (Nova Scotia)

Project description/objectives

The overall goal of this project is to expand and strengthen the capacity of Addiction Services in Guysborough-Antigonish Strait Health Authority to provide outreach, early intervention, and community linkages for at-risk youth and youth who are harmfully involved with substances. The specific goals of the project are to:

• Expand outreach for at-risk youth living in small towns and rural areas;
• Increase access to services through early identification, early intervention, and outreach;
• Build the capacity of community organizations to identify and refer youth at risk of substance use problems to Addiction Services.
